Gaffney: I know you’re heading down to the Nicaragua and Costa Rica border to monitor the, it would seem infusion of what you call extra-continental immigrants entering illegally. Talk about who they are and where they’re coming from at least, in broad terms if you would. And to this question of, might at least some of them have malign intent?
Bensman: Right, so… there are historic numbers of extra-continentals coming in right now. Those are migrants from the rest of the world, more than a hundred different countries on their way here. They have heard Biden’s clarion call. They know the border is open to families and children right now. So they’re coming in. Yeah, they’re coming in from 120 countries, including those of terrorism concern in the Middle East. They’re coming through the Darien Gap. The main numbers show 50,000 extra-continental actually crossed in during May, which is a 700 percent increase over the same month a year ago. Three, almost four times, as many extra-continentals crossed through just in May as did a year ago. It’s astounding. At least 10,000 are crossing through the Darien Gap right now between Colombia and Panama on their way here.
