We’re still seeing somewhere on the order of 5 to 6,000 a day crossing the border. It’s down a little bit because the Biden administration cut some sort of mysterious deal with the Mexicans who are now bringing them down from the north down to their south. But the numbers are still just cataclysmic.
They’re historically high. We just saw in December more than 300,000 logged, including gotaways, getting through. All of this is because the Biden administration and Mayorkas are letting almost 90 percent of everybody who reaches that border into the country. And that is great news for immigrants, they’re pushing to the border so they can be among the 90 percent. Barack Obama, famously, when he was asked why do you keep deporting and detaining people, he said, because I have no choice, I am not a king. Biden is not a king. And Mayorkas is not one of the king’s men, here. Congress requires deportation and detention. And they are purposely not doing that, for three years running.
They are not following the law. […]
Maria: How does, then, the president get away with saying he’s reached his limit with what he can do to secure the border?[…]
Bensman: I would urge the president and all of your viewers to go to the Immigration and Nationality Act and read section 212(f), which gives the president total authority to turn back 100 percent of everybody, for no reason other than that he wants to. The president has the authority. […] They’re buying into a narrative of, well, there are more immigrants and refugees in the global bloodstream than ever before, so, of course, we just can help that. […] None of that is true. This can all be traced to inauguration hour plus one. When they opened the border to family units, unaccompanied minors, pregnant women. Despite Title 42, which required all pushbacks. They immediately rolled back Title 42 down to the point where they were only pushing back about 30 percent, and now they’re pushing back almost no one.
Again, even Mayorkas was saying, we’re letting about 85 percent, probably north of that, into the country, who reach the border. And that’s not including the cell phone app. CBP One. Where they’re just letting people pre-schedule their illegal entries over the land bridges, by the hundreds of thousands. Nobody’s even counting that. And they’re letting them fly in from foreign countries into 43 U.S. airports, too, and no one is talking about that. The 300,000 that came in, in December, is not including all of those tens of thousands more that are entering U.S. cities and clogging up all of our hospitals and welfare systems in those places. […]
Maria: It’s an incredible story. We’ve estimated that it could be between 8 and 10 million illegals in the country, on Joe Biden’s watch. […] Talking about the fairness element of it […] these people are jumping the line, getting in immediately. But the national security impact is so much more important and impactful for the American people. You just said, in the beginning of Joe Biden opening the border, there were family units, pregnant women. We’re not seeing any of that any more. We see all military age men coming in today.
Bensman: It’s true. Including 320 from countries of special national security interest, who were already on the FBI’s terrorism watch list when they got here. And those are just the ones we caught. There are 2 million gotaways. The most in the history of the country. […]
Maria: That is incredible. Meanwhile we’ve got this new surveillance video, Todd, it shows two New York City police officers being attacked by a group of illegal migrants. This happened this weekend in Times Square. The migrants are seen kicking the officers before running off. They kicked him in the head. They were later arrested and charged with assault. Apparently, right after that, they were released without bail back into the community.
Bensman: You can also guarantee that they won’t be deported, either, under this administration. Because this administration has all but cancelled interior deportations — even for criminal aliens. Murders, rapists, child molesters, the whole gamut of criminality. This administration will not deport them. I do hope that — maybe if the next Republican administration gets in there, that they put these guys at the top of their list for deportation.
