And: the truth about Gov. Greg Abbott’s migrant busing
Interview excerpts:
The congressional delegation visit to Eagle Pass:
Bensman: “It was the cleanest border I’ve seen at least in Eagle Pass in a long, long time. And I did talk to one of the congressmen who went in with that delegation, who went into one of the very large soft-sided Border Patrol processing centers. It had 5,000 in it last week and had 11 in it when the delegation came through, so that tells you one thing, which is that when the administration really wants to shut down the border and clean it up, with Mexico, they certainly can. Overnight.
On the charge that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is responsible for flooding northern cities with bused illegal border crossers:
“Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas has no authority to force a single migrant to get on the bus to go to Chicago or New York or other cities. One hundred percent of everyone on those buses got on those buses voluntarily because Texas offered free bus fare. That’s really all this is, a free bus fare program. So it’s a complete misnomer that a Texas governor is sending – I’ll put that in air quotes — anybody to any city. That’s number one. Number two is that the total number of immigrants that are voluntarily getting on these buses for the free fare are miniscule, fractional, compared to the total numbers that are going on their own volition and paying for bus fares. And, a federal government Biden program to fly immigrants from foreign cities south of the border directly into 43 different U.S. airports using the CBP One app. Hundreds of thousands are just flying into these cities… And they’re busing themselves in. This is just ridiculous to talk about a governor of Texas having something to do with it.”
Impeachment hearing of DHS Secretary Alexandro Mayorkas:
“I think the impeachment inquiry that’s going to start next week and probably go into the week after, at least, is a bit of political theater. They’re not going to remove Mayorkas. They don’t have the numbers for that. But I do think that there is a public benefit to be had, and an important one. An inquiry would produce new information about why the administration did this to the country. Why they have facilitated a mass migration of historic proportions for three years. Some of the media in this country, in my opinion, have purposefully suppressed this news. Often when they do cover it, they answer the four Ws, Who, What, Where…but never WHY. We still don’t know why they’re doing this, and I’m really hoping that impeachment hearings will give us some insight…”
