Bannon: This is outrageous, of what the Biden administration and others are allowing to happen to our country.
To our country but particularly to hard-working blue-collar Hispanic workers down in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and in southern Arizona. Tell us what you got, sir.
Bensman: One of the stories that’s out there right now, which is you know, this invasion, some people call it, or you know – I call it a border crisis. An invasion would be something that’s not wanted. But I think this administration actually wants this. But in any case, that they are bringing in covid, lots of folks coming in unvaccinated. They’re coming from countries all over the world. I just came from Costa Rica, Nicaragua… met migrants from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. I don’t think they’re doing a great job of vaccinating there or masking. And those people are all on their way to the US border and crossing. There is a point where the illegal aliens come into contact, are turned over to the Border Patrol… we’ve got about 40 of those Border Patrol agents who are sick right now with covid. The new variants are showing up with these immigrants too. I don’t really know if we are that solid on the numbers. There’s definitely a spike in the numbers down there in South Texas with the covid. But it’s hard to tell what the break down is. How many are due to the immigrants bringing it in with them, or it’s just from Mexico. You know the border is sort of not that closed anyway. For about a year, I’ve been reporting about Mexicans filling up our hospital beds that we worked hard to preserve for American citizens. They were coming over and filling up all of those beds, all the way through the interior of border states. I believe that that’s probably happening again right now. I think that’s the biggest issue, that hospitals are filling up around the border states again.
Bannon: Yeah, the capacity of the ICU units.
Bannon: The piecemeal amnesty they’re talking about in this budget reconciliation bill… They’re going to slide in an amnesty for over five million people. What say you sir?
Bensman: Anytime Democrats start talking about amnesty, it’s like putting a rock on the gas pedal of your vehicle. I mean, it just accelerates the problem because people hear about this all over the world and think, ‘I got to get in while the getting’s good.’ I think that’s a major problem even just talking about it. So Republicans or people interested in controlling the border, basic control of the border, ought to start opposing this out loud. Talking about it as well, just to counter it. There should be no talk of amnesty at all. Not out loud.
Bannon: Todd, we’ve got to bounce. But have you ever … You’re a professional now who looks at… have you ever seen the border or interior enforcement ever be so out of control sir?
Bensman: Never. I have never seen anything like this in my professional life, and I live in Texas and have been dealing with the border for a long time. The main thing that is different here is that it is invited by an administration, by the federal executive branch of an administration, that an administration is allowing this to happen. And just wait until they lift Title 42. They’re inviting the entire world over the border, just like they said they would.
