Excerpt from the April 28, 2021 show:
Host: My friends on the left get upset when I come on the air and say the Biden rhetoric invited this. Are people at the border telling you that that is what has happened?
Bensman: Yes. For more than a year, I have been going into Mexico and Central America and interviewing migrants. And this was before Joe Biden was even the nominee. It was during the Democratic primary campaign. And all of those migrants down there were listening to the debates. Remember there were seven or nine contenders for the nomination. And they were all trying to out-do each other in how welcoming they would be, in how far they would go to eliminate obstructions to illegal immigration, and end deportation, and free health care. Remember all that? Well those aspiring migrants heard all that, and they told me on the record over and over again – way back then, a year ago – that they were coming. Because of that. That the polls were showing the Democrats were going to win and they were already coming in and getting into position for it. Once the nomination happened, it increased multiple-fold the number of people coming in just on what he was saying, what his program was going to do. And once he started implementing everything that he said he was going to implement, the rush was on.”
